MISSION - WHAT WE DO

Portland CARES's mission is to provide emergency food, clothing, rent, utilities and prescription medicine to Portland, Westmoreland, Bethpage, and Cottentown residents who can show need.

SERVICES - HOW WE DO IT

Portland CARES has two main programs used to distribute resources: - Thrift Store: In fiscal year 2008, Portland Cares served the community with $299,000 in Thrift Store sells. - Benevolence Services: In fiscal year 2007, Portland Cares served 3,017 individuals through Benevolence Services.
